getting error 0xc0000409 while upgrading to windows 11

So I got a notification from the windows update service that my PC is ready to install windows 11. I tried around 20 odd times but every time it reaches around 88 percent it restarts and starts undoing the changes and back to windows 10. Later when I check the history, I can see that it fails with error 0xc190011f. I performed all the solutions available online for this error but still not updated and ends with same error.

So now I go to Microsoft website and get the Windows 11 Installation Assistant to perform the upgrade. I have tried it around 5 time and each and every time I get the error code 0xc0000409 and back to Windows 10. I have tried all of the below.

  1. Removed my antivirus software
  2. sfc /scannow
  3. DISM.exe
  4. Clean start of windows (disabled all the services and startup items other than microsoft services)
  5. Uninstalled all unsigned drivers
  6. Uninstalled all peripherals attached to my PC
  7. Other clean up solutions available online

My PC: Lenovo Legion 7i. Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz 3.10 GHz, 32.0 GB RAM, Windows 10 Home version 21H1, OS build 19043.1320, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0

Windows already offered Windows 11 upgrade through Windows Update.

Any solutions?

Thanks!

    Hi Dyari,

Thank you for your response. I have already run those two apps before moving ahead to install Windows 11. Below are the screenshots.

As for the clean install, I already have created the bootable USB but that would be the last resort.

But yes, I will go for the clean install option if I can't get past the error.
