Wireless adapter drop out

Anonymous

At the end of a video file move via Wi-Fi the network drops out. The target folder has the name and file size of video, but not the duration.

That file will not play.

The sending laptop (Win 10 and now Win 11) claims no network available. No networks are shown.

Troubleshooter says:

Problem with wireless adapter or access point (fixed)

Reset the wireless adapter (completed)

Then I am connected again to my 5 GHz Wi-Fi and I need to move the file file again to get one that plays.

This happens about 5% of the time I move files and always at the end of the file move.

What is going on? How can I fix this?

PS: Dell hardware help folks ran all their diagnostics and found nothing amiss.

I have the diagnostic file log.

I followed all the suggested steps.

Failed again, this time in the middle of the move, not at the end. Here is some of troubleshooting info:

What should these changes have done? When the file move works, it runs smoothly at about 15 MB/s. Previously the moves were not as smooth, but ran at about 20 MB/s.

Can I undo these changes if the rate of network dropout stays the same as before?
