which data cable is best CAT6 or CAT7?

a few days ago I brought a cable from the market that is cat6 but I want more speed for gaming. my friend suggest me a cable shop they have many cables i think i will be visiting this shop

For gaming you will not notice any difference between a CAT6 or CAT7 ethernet cable, the CAT7 cable is newer and does support higher transmission speed, you can check the comparison from PC Gamer's article over here:

The general recommendation for home use is a CAT6 cable. It has enough speed to handle downloads and gaming. A home with an average internet connection will perform solidly with CAT6 or CAT6A. And, a very important point, CAT6 is cheaper than CAT 7.

However, if you’re running multiple applications, such as those needed by smart home technology, or using it in a business environment, you may get better results from a CAT7 or CAT7A cable because these can support multiple applications with fewer errors and less crosstalk.

Therefore, I think your friend’s suggestion is worthwhile to accepting.

in my personal experience cat6 is better than cat7 because when I gaming or live stream cat6 give me better result so I using cat6 but in future if I see any problem with cat6 then I must shift on cat7.
