When I am using Google Chrome and I use alt tab to quick switch to a different application, it will sometimes white out and you can't see what your switching to or it will just open up on the page and all use see is white letters and to use it you have to minimize google chrome. This issue has happened of Edge too. I have included videos to show what am I talking about to try and better explain it. Also I have the same issue with turning up the volume with the keypad. The rectangle that pops up in the top left is also whited out.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re facing issues when switching between windows on your PC. I will certainly try my best to assist you with the issue.

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and see if that helps.

    Method 1: Restart Explorer

Try restarting Explorer and see if that helps.

    1. Right click on Taskbar and click on Task Manager. This should open Task Manger console.
    2. Click on Details tab, look for explorer.exe.
    3. Right click on explorer.exe and click on End Task.
    4. The desktop will go blank and you should still have Task Manager on the screen.
    5. Click on File>>Run new task.
    6. Type explorer.exe and click on OK.
    7. This will restart the Windows Explorer.

    Method 2: Troubleshoot Windows Explorer

Try running the troubleshooter for Windows Explorer and see if that helps. Refer the article Automatically diagnose and repair Windows file and folder problems

Method 3: Create a new user account

Test the issue on new user account and see if you’re able to switch between windows normally. Refer the article Create a local user or administrator account

Note: The above articles hold good for Windows 11 as well.

Let us know if you need any further assistance, we will be glad to assist you.

    Regards,
