Hi All
Playing with Desktop Analytics to deploy Win10 20H2 Feature update.
So have setup the deployment plan, for the pilot collection, and have created global pilot group.

Question1. In "Prepare Pilot" section, there is a list of apps that require approval. I have read in a third party website, that you do not need to approve any apps for pilot deployment. Hence the devices should appear in the "Windows 10 v20H2 (Pilot)" collection. However, this does not seem to be happening. The machines only appeared in the collection after the apps were made "Ready". Just wondering what is correct? Maybe i didnt wait long enough.

Question2. So lets say i am happy with the pilot phase, and want to move on to Prod phase. I have not got there yet in my environment. Is it just a matter of approving the apps from "Prepare Production" section for "Critical and Important" apps? Once these are all made ready, will then the PC's show up in the "Windows 10 v20H2 (prod)" collection?

Thanks
Dave

    Hi, @David Moon
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
It's suggested to approve apps in "Prepare Pilot" section, with the pre-pilot experience and with reports from the pilots, Critical and Important applications are to be reviewed to assign a decision for the Windows 10 Feature Update readiness. This needs to be achieved under the Deployment Plans.

Which third party website have you read? Did you checked below one:

    Hi AllenLiu

    Thanks for the reply.

How did you know it was that site?
This line is what i was confused with. It sounded like to me, that you didnt need to make any decisions to proceed with the feature update. I could be wrong though. Thanks... i will ensure i approve the applications to proceed with the feature update.
