I have the windows store version of Age of Empires 4. Every time I try to play I get a "System Thread Exception Not Handled" after about 5 minutes. This doesn't happen on other windows store games like FH4. My graphics drivers are up to date. I have tried looking in the event viewer but can't find anything that would indicate the cause.

We use the Windbg program to analyze the minidump files.

Anyway, I'm glad that I could help you.

Great, thanks. Uninstalling StoreMI seems to have solved my problem. For future reference, how do you check the minidump files?

The minidump files point to the file "envirtahci.sys". It is the AHCI Virtual Storage Miniport Driver developed by AMD.

I recommend that you update the driver if it's available. If not, try to uninstall and reinstall the driver.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

    Hi AndrewBonner,

I'm Paul and I'm here to help you with your concern.

Please upload the minidump files Windows created when you encountered BSOD. It will help us determine what caused the PC to crash.

    1. Open Windows File Explorer
    2. Go to C:\Windows\Minidump
    3. Zip those files
    4. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.).
    5. Then share the link here.

    Thanks.
