Hello,

I have suddenly seen that an error code, 0x000000xf comes whenever I go to system recovery in my HP UEFI Settings. It says that I need a recovery tool, but I have none. I cannot go to recovery environment. I don't have an ISO file. The only thing connected to my laptop is a dongle and a mouse. What should I do now? I did not update or do any hardware change before the problem. But my PC is working fine.

I still need to know what you're doing when that error appears. Please answer the questions in my last post so I can figure it out for you.

How exactly are you entering "HP UEFI settings?"

Is it accessed one of these ways: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2294-advanc...?

If so those are the WIndows Advanced Startup or WinRE options.

If you're referring to Recovery in those settings, is it HP System Recovery or Recover using a System Image that gives the error?

You said you want to remove these? To remove the Recovery options in Windows 10 would mean that if WIndows ever fails to start, then Automatic Repair or WinRE would not boot to provide you the repair tools. You would need to create bootable Media to use those repair tools.

Please clarify the questions above and what exactly you want to do.

HI Arsil. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, specializing in Installation, Performance, Troubleshooting and Activation, here to help you.

If your PC is working fine why do you want to recover it? If you'll tell me what is happening I can suggest what's needed.

Here is how to run HP Recovery:

    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04758961

It's the same as the Windows 10 Reset which can be separately accessed as shown here from inside Windows or from WInRE repair mode:

    http://www.laptopmag.com/articles/reset-windows...

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions. Please report back results for all steps given so I know what else to suggest if necessary.
