Odd number pad behaviour

Hello! Something odd has happened with my number pad over the last couple of weeks. I have the num lock on and this works for the numbers, but I cannot enter the plus, multiply or divide symbols without pressing shift at the same time. The minus symbol works okay.

I have tried 2 different keyboards and the same thing happens, so I think it’s an issue with Windows 10. It happened whether I’m trying to enter characters into Excel or into Word.

I’d be grateful for any suggestions.

Thank you!

Uninstall all drivers and restart the PC, so Windows will reinstall only the necessary ones, probably solving the problem.

Yours sincerely,

Although I thought that that had fixed it, then the problem reoccurred. I have now realised that it is linked to my Dragon dictation software. I had created a new dictation profile 2 or 3 weeks ago, and the problem has started since then. When I close down the software, I don't have the problem with the number key pad.

Any suggestions as to why Dragon might be causing this problem, would be gratefully received! (I'm using Dragon Home v13.)

    Many thanks

Thank you for getting back to me. There are 6 keyboards showing, which in itself seems a bit odd. I've only used 2 other key boards with this PC, am currently using Logi MX keys, but have used that for several months and with no trouble until a couple of weeks ago. How do I know which drivers to uninstall...?

-Hi, my name is Claudeir, I'm happy to help you!

    Let Windows reinstall keyboard drivers.

    Windows+X> device manager> keyboards> right click on drivers> Uninstall> restart PC.
