Using a batch command to record the RSSI between a LAN and Computer connected via AP ad Client
Hello,
I am pretty new to Windows Forums, and I hope that someone can help me here. (not sure if this on the right forum)
I am using a set of Tp -Link cpe 510 as an AP and client pair to help send data from a LAN hosted by a raspberry pi to a laptop located a few kilometers apart.
I was able to connect the two devices together after changing some IP addresses and can send data to the laptop from the AP, but there is a critical piece of information that I also need to log, but I am unable to.
I need to log some form of the signal strength between the laptop and the AP. Preferably as RSSI.
So I tried setting up a windows batch file containing : netsh wlan show interfaces to help show the data and a few other lines to log the data with a time stamp.
The file works well when logging normal home-wifi connections, but when I connect to the AP the file that is spit out says that I have nothing connected and it gives me no indication of a signal.
Is there other ways that could help me solve this issue such as different commands or anything?
Thank You!
E
