How to reverse "update" changes to windows file explorer?

The latest "update" changed the structure of File Explorer so it is not possible to open up subfolders on the left side, only on the right side. This is super annoying! and it is more difficult to reorganize subfolders. Is there a way to reverse this unwelcome change?

    Welcome to the Microsoft community. and hope you are doing great.

    I am aware of the present situation is that your File explorer has been changed since the latest update, since you were previously posted to the Microsoft 365 and Office community, I can't yet confirm whether you are currently using Windows 11 or Windows 10.

    The following results are based on Windows11. Right-click the blank area in the left navigation bar of File explorer and select show all folders, as shown in the following figure:

    You can expand the subfolders, as shown below:
