Hello Community,

I have an issue with both ctrl buttons on my laptop, since I installed windows 11. Both buttons work on the "On-Screen Keyboard" but aren't on my physical one. When I press them multiple times or press ctrl+alt+delete, it works and then malfunctions again.

I have Hp Omen 15.

Do you have a solution to my issue?

Sincerely,

Hi Noureldeen. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Try theses fixes for Ctrl keys not working on HP keyboard after Windows 11 upgrade:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...  https://www.thewindowsclub.com/ctrl-key-not-wor...
(Avoid ad links which intrude into editorial copy, especially DO NOT INSTALL Restoro, PC Repair Tool and Reimage ads)

    1. In Device Manager open Keyboard device, from Driver tab try Update Driver > Automatically. Then try Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick to try all previously installed drivers.

Finally try Uninstall Driver, use mouse to restart PC to reinstall driver.

    1. Run the Keyboard troubleshooter at Settings > System > Troubleshooters > Addiitional Troubleshooters.

Report back results for each step so I know what else to suggest.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.
