Fix for Remote desktop only on one monitor

I think Azure change something for WVD Virtual Machine pools.

All of my sites are having to make a change to display remote desktop on all monitors.

Right click the connection and select Settings.

Move the slider to Off

Then click the close X

Now the user will connect with all monitors.

This is happening across multiple clients and tenets.

Does anyone know what the fix is?

Yeah, when you 1000+ users across multiple tenets and installations, emailing and calling in at the same time, it can be challenging . We had broadcast the fix to the users. Microsoft did something in Azure WVD environment that kick it off and I was seeing if there was a fix other than the WVD setting in Azure to fix it.

The fix is to move the slider to off, and then select single monitor. hit save. Then go back and select ALL monitors. Should then work in my experience.

It seems like even if you had selected "All monitors" at a prior time, the "new default" was assumed last night; and the new default appears to be "single monitor" unless you go in and choose otherwise. And when you do, don't be fooled by "all monitors" being selected in the drop-down already --- it's lying to you!

Would have been nice to be warned about this change ! Your post is the first one I found on the internet --- but I am seeing it across multiple client accounts using WVD.
