Help stop computer automatically disabling physical keyboard/changing laptop to tablet

Hello!

I have the HP Envy x360 Convertible and Windows 11. I only got this about a year ago.

My computer keeps disabling the physical keyboard when the computer is tilted even slightly. Based on the way the taskbar changes, it seems to be changing from laptop to tablet. Sometimes the computer keyboard even gets disabled or the screen goes completely black when moving from a tilted angle to the flat tabletop surface. Please help me stop it!

I have already disabled the Intel(R) Integrated Sensor Solution from Device Manager > System Devices > Intel(R) Integrated Sensor Solution and am not sure what else to do to stop the computer from overreacting to movements.

Thank you!

    Hi K C6,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

In Windows 11, tablet mode can no longer be changed from the Settings, it will automatically switch according to the position of the computer, and this is the case.

As far as I know, the motherboard BIOS/UEFI Settings of some brands of computers can turn off the gravity sensor function, and the computer can not recognize the current posture of the screen by turning it off, which can solve the problem of automatically switching the tablet mode to some extent. I suggest you check with HP support to see if this is available.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

    Best Regards,
