Cannot remove corrupted work or school account

Hi,

Situation:

  1. Windows 11 Pro, new Dell machine, connected to Microsoft 365 account for login.
  2. Outlook was connected to a second M365 account, sadly a GoDaddy one.
  3. Machine had a fault, and had hardware replaced.
  4. Since then, Outlook has failed to connect to the account. When removing the account and re-adding it, I get the helpful 'something went wrong' message before even putting a password in.
  5. Looking at the accounts page, this GD M365 account is listed under 'Accounts used by other apps', but when trying to 'manage', a new window pops up briefly and disappears.

It seems like this account is broken in some way. I haven't found a way of removing or repairing it. Does anyone have any suggestions beyond a Windows reset? Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled 365 using the non-GD account, but continue to experience the same issue. I think it's due to the corrupted identity which I'm struggling to remove.

    Thanks.

You access that GoDaddy account via your web browser and there you may need to reinstall Office365
