Hi,

We're running MECM 2010. On our May monthly rollout of Office 365 updates below is one of the patches that is failing on almost half of the device infrastructure.

Microsoft 365 Apps Update - Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel Version 2008 for x64 based Edition (Build 13127.21624)

On almost ALL the affected devices the download goes till 50% and then fails. It's always been the stream.x64.x-none.dat file on which the download failure occurs.

Below is the error that is reported in the DataTransferService.log.

Also all the affected users are remote and they're connected to VPN/Internet. But this should work in both cases. We've isolated several factors like AV, Firewall, CCMCache storage and there aren't any issues with any of them. Also when the same user comes into the office, the download completes fine directly from the DP. So this seems to be an issue that is affecting the downloads happening over Internet. Also, the users of the affected machines are able to download the same file manually from a browser - http://officecdn.microsoft.com/pr/7ffbc6bf-bc32-4f92-8982-f9dd17fd3114/office/data/16.0.13127.21624/stream.x64.x-none.dat

Also the errors reported in the completion statistics for this patch are varied and have no correlation to the above observed error code 0x8020002B in the logs.

Have heard of some changes in Office 365 update mechanism since last month (May 2021) but not sure of any sizable information around this. And moreover, if that has something to do with the above behaviour. Can we have some pointers or tips to remediate the above issue, please?

Thank You.
