SCSM console freezes

Hey guys,

I'm running into the following issue with a client.

I've installed a fresh SCSM 2019 box, and every now and then for an undetermined amount of time, the SCSM console refuses to show data. It will start, occasionally load the wunderbars and stop there. After some time it will load the wunderbars, you can click around but as soon as you click on something that requires fresh data, it will freeze up.

If you get to the point where you manage to double click a work item, it will show the loading window until this weird slowdown is solved and not show anything.

There are no errors, no logs, the DB is accessible through SSMS and there are no slowdowns on the network or storage whatsoever. Has anyone seen anything like this? I have run out of places to look and check.

Would appreciate some extra eyes.

Thanks,

Richard

    Hi @Richard Knijnenburg ,

does it help if you do a "Clear Cache"?:

    1. Stop the 3 System Center Management services on the Service Manager Management Server:
      • Microsoft Monitoring Agent
      • System Center Data Access Service
      • System Center Management Configuration
    2. Delete the contents of the C:\Program Files\Microsoft System Center 2012\Service Manager\Health Service State folder.
    3. Restart the 3 services listed above.

    Regards,
    Stefan

    Thanks for your reply.

Apologies, I forgot to put that in my post, I've tried clearing the cache as well.

I've looked at the workflow durations within SQL as well, nothing is held up on that end either.

Yesterday we managed to 'fix it' after changing OU's, performing updates and putting them back in. No idea if that was actually the solution or just a coincidence as we can't track anything.

Hi, I have the same problem. Have you been able to solve it?
