Missing driver for usb microphone

I brought a new usb gaming microphone however when I go into device manager the microphone comes up as Lcs usb audio device and when I double click on it, it shows it doesn’t have a driver installed, I click on update and search online for driver. And it tried to install usb audio device driver but it came up with “windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device.” And “The system cannot find the file specified.”

Can someone please help me?

Laptop specs:

  • Windows 8/8.1
  • 64-bit processer
  • realtek audio
  • intel core i7

It was originally windows 8 but upgraded to windows 8.1

    Do this : After the < Y / No > _ Type Yes and press - Enter

next, close the "CMD" Prompt and Restart the computer

when the Pc get to normal status: Run again the scan

    chkdsk c: /f /r and press > Enter : it may take 1 Hr.

or so to finish the scan : whatever the result..

Reboot Pc : check if can update driver

a word of advice : MSoft recommends uninstall

Java app : it's been flagged as massive

security risk : is your decision

Hi : Would you like to try this workaround. May fix the issue,.?

How do I fix "*The system Cannot find the file specified*"

Run CHKDSK Command to Fix "System Cannot Find File Specified" Device.

Right-click the Start button > Type "Cmd in the Search box" and select

Command Prompt (**Admin**). Type **chkdsk x: /f /r** (**x** represents your

target drive) into the Command Prompt window and press - Enter

Wait while chkdsk tries to repair, the corrupted file systems.

Post results. if you decide to run the troubleshooter
