  • Independent Advisor Hi and thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard an Independent Advisor and a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today.

This problem actually occurs when there is a problem on your power options, kindly follow the steps below and I hope this helps.

First what we will do is to enable WWAN and WLAN services, these services are essential to run the Wireless and wired connection perfectly.

  • Open Services (Press Windows key + R then type in services.msc then click OK)

-Look for WLAN Autoconfig and WWAN Autoconfig> Right Click Properties and set it to automatic (If it's already set to automatic, right click then click stop then start it again)

-Restart PC and check

If the issue persists, run the following command in command Prompt (Admin). Follow the steps below to do so.

These sets of commands will reset the internet connection and re-calibrate the internet settings you have.

Press Windows Key + X.
Click on Command prompt (Admin).
Type the following commands, and hit Enter after each command:
netsh int tcp set heuristics disabled
netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh int tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh winsock reset and press Enter
netsh int ip reset and press Enter
ipconfig /release and press Enter
ipconfig /renew and press Enter
ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter

If same issue follow the methods below:

Do clean boot:
A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

  • In the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.
  • On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.
  • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.
  • Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.
  • Close Task Manager.
  • On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select OK. When you restart the computer, it's in a clean boot environment.

    Update:

After a lot of research on how to get my download speeds back to where they were before, I found something that worked.

One of the commands that was included in Lester BernardReyes's post was as follows:

\* netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled \*

I updated "netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=" to NORMAL.

    * netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal*

That is all that I reversed from the directions in the post.

As well, upload speeds are at 35 to 40 Mbps based on all of the other commands suggested,

That is 5 to 6 times what I previously had.

I wanted to thank Lester BernardReyes, but the post was locked when I found it,

    So,

Thanks Lester BernardReyes and Mario SPB

I understand that you are concerned about the security and integrity of your network, but we need to test it initially with another computer to see if it is a problem with your router or ISP.

Have you contacted your ISP to ask about any problems with the speed?

I appreciate your response, but for security reasons, I do not wish to grant access to my network.

Hi, I'm Mario, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

We are sorry about what happened.

The procedures reported by the Advisor are correct in principle. The steps he reported would not harm his computer.

First of all, I would ask you, if possible, to test your network with another computer to see if it is not a problem with your adapter.

Is your internet access via cable or wifi?

I am waiting for your answer so that we can proceed with this thread.

    Kind Regards,

    Mario B.
