Handwriting Recognition: Saved Personalization Data for Transfering Handwriting Style

Hello,

I just reset my PC, and I want to transfer my handwriting recognition so that I don't have to do it all over again. I saved the 'ink' folder (from the C/ location: program files > common files > Microsoft shared > ink) on an external hard drive, and now I need to know what to do with it. Do I replace the new ink folder, or just parts thereof?

Thanks for your help.

    Hello VeritableShelf,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

You can replace the entire folder. However, to be on the safe side, it is a good idea to make a backup of the folder you want to replace before you replace it, so that you have a chance to recover it if something goes wrong in the future.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other concerns.

    Best regards,
