Cannot create mirrored disks

I need to mirror two 2TB drives, including the C: drive with Windows. Neither Disk Management nor Storage Places provide any solutions. In Disk Management, right clicking Disk 1 shows most options grayed out, including New Spanned Volume..., New Striped Volume... and no option for New Mirrored Volume, which should be the solution and I only know that exists due to another Windows help site.

Navigating a vast tree of Windows information, including Windows button, Settings, Storage, Advanced storage settings, Storage Spaces, Create a storage pool and Storage Spaces displays a message that states: "There aren't any disks available to use with Storage Spaces." Both disks are new and working fine, with files able to be copied, opened and deleted from them.

Incidentally, Windows backup also appears to be totally useless with no options to select folders for automatic backup to the second drive in my computer, a solution that would also work.

Searching Windows Settings for Windows features produces useless results. A search for "Raid 1" displays "No results for Raid 1". A search for "mirror disks" displays "No results for mirror disks". A search for "mirror hard drives" displays "No results for mirror hard drives".

I noticed something similar to this was posted previously and the question has the thread locked with no workable solution ever proposed. Please leave this thread unlocked until everyone has confirmed the feature is working for them.

Use a third party utility, eg EaseUS to achieve what you want in a sys that has already running win

In win you create the mirror or Raid in the Bios prior to installing win

Personally from past experience I would not use any mirror or Raid unless using a dedicated raid card and that would cost significantly more than your mobo cost

    See File History in win

If Office 365 is involved then file history wont function, nor will any other backup
