Would a low Battery Cause My Volume to t Decrease every Time I Increase the System Volume

I inherited a Dell i7 Inspiron here are the specs

Device name DESKTOP-HA89MJN

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.90 GHz

Installed RAM 12.0 GB (11.9 GB usable)

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points

----I know that the laptop has battery issues due to extremely low usage time when not plugged in and am ordering a new battery. However, I was (as I usually am) plugged into an outlet attempting to join a Teams meeting and to my surprise even if I held my "F3"-Volume up button down the entire time I was in the meeting room, my volume still would fluctuate from 95-98%; it felt as if the laptop was fighting my efforts to turn the volume up. I have tried all of the various settings for System Volume/Music Volume/ect and ensured there are no settings on mute but it still will immediately go to "0" if I quickly use the mouse to slide the volume bar (which is always displayed in the upper left hand corner for some reason) to 100. Please help if you know of any alternative fixes other than replacing the battery in the laptop.

    Dear SunfyrSmrtSystms,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft community.

I haven't heard any report of similar scenarios like you. Based on the shared information, it seems that the issue only appears in an extreme situation on a specific laptop. I would recommend you reach to Dell support to see if they have any clue on the issue.

Thanks for your cooperation. Have a nice day!

    Sincerely,
