two printers switching

Hello,

I have two printers attached to one PC. They are both the same brand, model, and use the same driver. Each one uses a different type of paper, one sticker labels and the other paper slips. After rebooting the PC, the printers swap and print to the wrong printers. Is there a way around this random swapping?

    Hi Jarod. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

    If you don't set a default printer, it will set the last used printer as default.

    Here is how to set default printer in Windows 11:

    Then when you want to use the other (secondary) printer you'll need to choose it from the printer menu in the print dialogue box.
