Windows PowerShell - No hotkeys are working

I'm on windows 10 and am running into an issue where I need to disable focus mode for my powershell, so that I can access the drop-down menu. However, I cannot open the command palette or the settings as neither "ctrl + shift + p" nor "ctrl + ," work either. When I press any of these combinations, nothing happens.

Some help would really be appreciated :)

    Hello Zupreme,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

I looked up the information and found the CTRL + SHIFT + P is used to start the Windows PowerShell console (PowerShell.exe) in PowerShell ISE. Visit Keyboard Shortcuts for the Windows PowerShell ISE - PowerShell | Microsoft Learn for more details.

Additionally, did you open the Power Shell directly or call it in Windows Terminal? Because I can use these shortcuts in Windows Terminal.

    CTRL + SHIFT + P

    Ctrl + ,

You can visit Windows Terminal - Microsoft Store Apps and click "Get in Store app" to install Windows Terminal.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply which ended up solving my issue. The issue was that I was opening up PowerShell directly and didn't have the windows terminal by itself.

    Best Regards,
