how do i fix windows update "something went wrong"

when i tried to check for updates, on the windows update it says "Something went wrong, try to reopen settings later." and my windows update services and BITS service are gone.

    Hi,

    Pls check out:

    After applying the REG files, restart Windows. Also, make sure that the "Update Orchestrator Service" service exists in the Services console. If it's missing, restore the service by running this REG file (Src page).
