Hi all,

My laptop last 3-4 days suffer a lot because of telemetry, it runs 40-50% of CPU. My Laptop is quite hot as well. It effected many things. And it's really suddenly come out, before wasn't there at all. I tried many way already and successfully disabled telemetry by using task schedule, few commands like gpedit.msc, regedit. But still nothing changed , i cannot stop or disable telemetry. Hope there is a solution here.

    Hello mete,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

According to your description, you have tried some targeted solutions on your own, but the problem does not seem to be solved. If this problem appears recently, I guess it may be a compatibility problem. I can guide you through some troubleshooting steps to confirm the problem.

By performing a clean boot, this is a mode of disabling third-party services or software, which could help rule out the interference of these elements.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step so that it will help you get you back on track.

If the above solutions don't work, I suggest you go into Safe mode to see if it's the system itself problem. Because Safe Mode enables a minimum number of additional services or apps to rule out issues caused by personalized settings and third-party apps.

Visit Start your PC in safe mode in Windows (microsoft.com) to view the specific steps.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best regards,
