Hi there!

I am running into a continuous error playing games on my PC. After playing normally for 2-10 minutes the game will crash suddenly. I have tried many things on this website including uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, rolling back to earlier driver versions. This is a consistent error message I receive:

The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\00000082

Error occurred on GPUID: 100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

Any ideas?

Good day! I'm Raniel. I understand your frustration regarding this issue and I'll do my best to help.

Just to clarify, did you also make any changes to your machine before encountering this issue (like installing third party apps, recent updates, etc..)?

Kindly reinstall your display driver to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Access your account via safe mode: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sta... then use the DDU to do a clean removal of your display driver instead: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/ddu-guide-t...
    2. Reboot your machine and and reinstall your graphics drivers by getting them on the manufacturer's website. You may refer to this guide:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/upd...

Note: ensure to run the installation as administrator; temporarily disable your antivirus as well

I also suggest that you have the latest version of the following software:

    Visual C++ - https://support.microsoft.com/topic/the-latest-...

    DirectX - https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx...

    .NET Framework - https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx...

However, if the issue persist, kindly perform a repair install of your Windows which fixes the broken system files on your machine. Here is a guide: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

There should be no worries in performing it since you will select the option to keep your files during the process.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
