hoping to know if I should be worried about the bsod i received or if it was just a one off.

I was just using my computer normally checking my gmail when it shut off randomly and gave the the error code "critical_structure_corruption"

This is the first time Ive ever gotten this error code and I haven't recently updated any drivers [to my knowledge] or windows. I haven't installed any apps either or made any changes to my physical computer tower.

upon checking event viewer this is the information I found about it.

Hi tangerinesKPTCSFAN,

If this was a one time crash, most likely Windows was updating drivers in the background and that caused a temporary incompatibility, there is nothing further you need to do.

If this happens again, please upload any new minidump file your system creates.

    Hi tangerinesKPTCSFAN,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

If your system only crashed once, most likely Windows was updating drivers in the background and that caused a temporarily incompatibility and there is nothing further you need to do.

If this is a recurring problem, please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.

Hello! I can try to help you. The information from Event Viewer is relatively non-specific. Critical Structure Corruption could be anything from faulty hardware to a corrupted driver.

Do you know how to find your system's MEMORY.DMP files after a BSOD? That's what we really need here to analyze this issue. It should be in C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP or if you have the system configured for mini dumps in C:\Windows\Minidump. Let me know if you need help finding it.

Zip those files up and upload them to the web somewhere, then post the link here. OneDrive is a good option.

Let me know if you need more help.
