Windows 11 clipboard & taskbar issues

I often have issues where my windows 11 clipboard stops working (until a reboot) and my taskbar freezes up/stops working on 2nd dual screen/becomes slow to respond (until i reset explorer or sometimes only a reboot will cure). The issues have become nearly unbearable as of late, requiring a reboot every 2-3 days.

i try an clear the clipboard, but most often it doesn't help ... only a reboot helps.

Any idea on solutions?

    Hi,

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

Did the issue start after the updates last week?

    Keep us posted.

The taskbar seemed to glitch earlier today. I restarted and all started working again. Although another issue i forgot to mention was the taskbar covers open windows. I've tried the "hide taskbar" feature, but that seems to be slow. Anyway, the taskbar issues remain.

As far as the clipboard, it just froze up. It's odd, i can copy/paste a url within my chrome browser, but cannot copy/paste within or from/to any microsoft products. I've tried to clear the clipboard, but that doesn't seem to work.

    Any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out! My name is, Zadee. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

I understand that you're having clipboard and taskbar issues. This might be your file explorer malfunctioning due some system corruptions.

Let's run a windows inplace repair for this, Saldy. This will not reset your computer nor you will lose data with this procedure. This is simply going to attempt and fix the issue you have. Here are the steps:

    1. Go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Under "Create Win 11 Installation Media". Click Download Now.
    3. Run the MediaCreationToolW11.exe that you just downloaded.
    4. Agree to Terms.
    5. Don't change anything. Click NEXT.
    6. Select ISO File. And Save it where you can find the ISO.
    7. Once done with the download. Extract the ISO files into a new folder.
    8. Open the folder where you extracted the files from the ISO. Look for Setup.exe and Run it.
    9. Make sure to leave the setting "Install Windows 11" and "Keep Personal Files and Apps"
    10. Wait for the installation to finish.

Once this is done, please observe it and then update us whenever you have the time if this was helpful.

    Thank you!
