Hi There,
Looking for some guidance towards the correct certification path towards Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
I currently hold the old certifications below:
Microsoft® Certified Solutions Expert: Mobility
Microsoft® Certified Solutions Associate: Windows 10
Microsoft Specialist: Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician
Microsoft Specialist: Windows 7, Configuring
Microsoft® Certified Technology Specialist: Administering and Deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager
Microsoft Certified Professional: Microsoft Certified Professional
Microsoft® Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician
These were obtained by the below exams, where the MCSE Mobilty, and MCSA Windows 10 were from upgrading previous exams in Windows 7 and Windows 8:
703 Administering System Center Configuration Manager and Cloud Services Integration
697 Configuring Windows Devices
689 Upgrading Your Skills to MCSA Windows 8
243 TS: Administering and Deploying System Center 2012 Configuration Manager
685 PRO: Windows 7, Enterprise Desktop Support Technician
680 TS: Windows 7, Configuring
Now the new certification states "If you passed Exam 70-698 before it retired on March 31, 2019, you only need to take MD-101 to earn the Modern Desktop certification." As per above, I did not take 70-698 because it was not required to get the MCSE due to the path I took (697 & 703). Does this mean I need to start completely fresh and take both MD-100 as well as MD-101?
If so, that's a mighty shame and seemingly abit of an oversight.
Cheers,
Rich
