random explorer crash

Hello.

I'm using Windows 11 22H2 build 22623.1095 (insider canal beta) on a LAPTOP with an ASUS X570-P Mother board, a Ryzen 3900 processor and a RTX 2070 GPU. My explorer often crashes (no error msg, I only see the restart of task bar and brief screen flickering).

It happens randomly, several times per day, since my fresh windows 11 installation (August 14th 2022). My Windows, drivers, bios... are up to date.

I can see this error in event viewer when it happens.

  • <Event xmlns="**http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event**">
  • <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" Guid="{a0e9b465-b939-57d7-b27d-95d8e925ff57}" /><EventID>1000</EventID><Version>0</Version><Level>2</Level><Task>100</Task><Opcode>0</Opcode><Keywords>0x8000000000000000</Keywords><TimeCreated SystemTime="2023-01-15T10:30:17.0104889Z" /><EventRecordID>26265</EventRecordID><Correlation /><Execution ProcessID="5160" ThreadID="6680" /><Channel>Application</Channel><Computer>fabrice-pc</Computer><Security UserID="S-1-5-21-2668804666-3279451261-1739908490-1001" /></System>

"DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" command don't help

It seems that my problem is pretty the same as this one (which has been closed without an identified solution)

Any advices to solve this problem ?

Regards.

Fabrice.

Hi Elise. Thanks for your reply.

I think that this problem is not related to insider version because I have this problem since the first install and join the insiders a few months later, but I get your point. I will probably quit the insiders program to clear the situation and see if it solves the problem or not with the regular Windows 11 public version.

    Regards.

Hi, I'm Elise, and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

Unfortunately with the insider builds you can often get issue such as this, and they generally wouldn’t be resolved until a further insider update is released.

You can also consult with IT professionals who are testing the software on this forum too.

The only further suggestion I can give is to submit feedback on the issue using the feedback hub app, you can find this in the start menu.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
