I have noticed for the past couple weeks that my system would just randomly restart when I'm using it. I use both Firefox and Chrome. But lately when I have chrome running, it's more likely to suddenly restart.

I use Windows 7, please help?

Hi, thank you for fast reply!

I forgot to mention it's a desktop PC.

Sometimes when I freshly start up in the morning then as it's loading files it just suddenly restarts.

I can sometimes game (fps game, overwatch 2, quite high demand) on it and it will be fine the whole time. It's very random sometimes. I can't fully understand it.

Then I could sometimes just be browsing emails on Chrome and it just restarts.

You don't say if Desktop or Laptop!

    Laptop:

It may be an overheating problem and that is normally the main reason for your problem.

    .

If it was a Hardware problem, it would tend not to restart.

Having said that, it is possible to have a hairline crack in the Motherboard, etc, which only becomes obvious once it heats up

Check the vents for dust, hair, etc and do not use a Laptop when it is resting on material surfaces: bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If the problem persists, as it is a Laptop, take it to a local and reliable Computer Repair Shop and get them to open it up and clean the dust from inside it..

Here is an interesting discussion about the varied reasons for your problem:

N.B> However 9 out of 10 cases of overheating are caused by an airflow blockage.
