Every time I open a new tab I have to sign in again. Does this feature work at all?

    I see.

Some sites, like account.microsoft.com require Biometric authentication again, also called as 2FA.

Please tell which antivirus are you using for further help.

    edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose

Ensure cookie clearing is not checked.

None of the settings in that section are turned on. But I don't use Edge so that's not relevant.

All my browsers are set to NOT clear history or cookies on close. This problem even appears when I'm on a MS site and open a new tab for a MS site in the same browser. Why would I have to authenticate in that situation?

Brave, Chrome, Opera and Edge. All act the same on PC and Android.

    Where is that setting?
