Hi,

I have cross checked the internal SUP settings but there does not seem to be any particular category for enabling the SharePoint servers patches. The relevant Office classifications are all checked but the SharePoint updates does not appear in SCCM.

I am able to find them under WSUS but not in SCCM.

For reference - the latest release for 2016 server "Security Update for Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise Server 2016 (KB5001946) farm-deployment" is showing up in WSUS but does not shows up in SCCM automatically.

Is this supported to deploy SharePoint updates via SCCM, if yes, how?

Thank You!

yes, I asked the same question to MS Support, it is not available via SCCM. This was their answer.

We cannot deploy the farm-deployment update using software update function via SCCM. This behavior was by design since SCCM doesn't sync Farm update.
Had a word with Sharepoint engineer:
Sharepoint updates itself are usually farm updates which means that you deploy it one sharepoint server and then use sharepoint itself to further deploy it. This is something you cannot handle with the updates deployment feature of SCCM.

Yes, this is supported. You need to have the Office 2016 product category selected as well as the Security Updates classification chosen.

Can you define what "does not shows up in SCCM automatically" means? How exactly are you trying to locate it?

HI I have the same problem,
If I do a filter in the title for Sharepoint, i only get 2013 and no 2016 updates.. something is missing or not configured somewhere.

Office 2016 filter shows nothing either..
