Desktop Switch and Screen Split: Not Working

Hello!

Thank you in advance for any help provided.

The other day, I accidentally keysmashed while typing too quickly, and I stopped being able to use Alt codes to type symbols in Google Docs. This was solved by turning on NumLock. I thought that was the end of it, but now I've come to find that the Desktop Switch (Ctrl+Win+Arrow Keys) and Screen Split (Win+Arrow Keys) keyboard shortcuts have stopped working.

So far, I have tried:

  • Turning NumLock off and using Ctrl+Numbers 4 and 6 on the numpad since I saw this worked for some people, but the command still doesn't work.
  • Reinstalling the keyboard and its drivers, but the problem remains.

I know this is fixable because it has already happened to me once before and I was able to solve it, but I don't remember how I did it and I haven't been able to the solution again anywhere (I delete my Internet History every 30 days, so that's a no-go for checking).

Cheers,

TH

Try pressing Esc + an Arrow key in case Game Keys is enabled.

    Hi Tamara-H

This is Tamal trying to answer your question

simplest thing to try is system restore, it will undo any recent changes until time you take your system when the issue was not there.

May try rstrui from start & go back to recent past.
