Windows not creating small memory dumps

I have a MSI Gaming Laptop. I am struggling with Kernel-Power Event ID 41 Task Category 63 this issue. In order to diagnose this I am checking dump files when the system failure occurs but windows is not creating them. I have configured windows to save Small Memory Dumps in the default Root folder. My Windows 11 is Up to Date. I have tried SFC, DISM no files corrupted but still it doesn't save dump files. How do I fix this ?

    Hi Yash,

Yes, please do still try to enabled verifier.

if you have set your processor to max state when you are running your laptop on battery power, that may be the cause, it is better to use one of the power presets that MSI provide in the Dragon Control Center on your laptop and let that utility manage your system.

    Thanks Dave for your Advice

I would like you to know few things I noticed

    1. My system only fails or Shut down when the laptop is on battery Power.
    2. When I change Processor Max Power state to 100 % failure occurs more frequently.
    3. When I boot laptop on battery power laptop shuts down after showing MSI Logo this happens Only when Processor Max state is 100%.
    4. Sometimes laptop shuts down after I open the lid from sleep mode this happens regardless of Power State.
    5. When I change my Refresh rate to 144hz and play FIFA19 system shuts down and doesn't turn back on unless I connect the adapter and after this the battery level drops to 0% even though its above 50% before.
    6. I never had any problems when I use my laptop while charging.

Should I still try Driver verifier or

What do you think let me know your thoughts on this?

    Hi Yash,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

To try to force Windows 11 show any faulting drivers, the best option would be to turn on Driver Verifier, let your PC crash 3 times, then you must turn off Driver Verifier, and finally, upload any newly created minidump files

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Note, if you have any difficulty getting into Windows with Driver Verifier enabled:

Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down

    Do this twice

On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Settings and click Restart

Upon restart, press 4 to enter Safe Mode

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run these two commands, then restart your PC.

    verifier /reset

    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail
