Purview scan on-premises
I have to scan a SQL Server on-premises. I followed the instructions here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/azure-purview/network-isolation-and-security-use-private-endpoints-for-your/ba-p/2233446.
We are using private endpoints to the Azure Purview account, as instructed, and we pair the vnet with the local network.
It has arrived at the database, since when creating the scan it shows me the tables. Runs the scan (takes about 45 minutes), ends without error, but shows 0 scanned assets.
Any idea what is missing?

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Could you please confirm, while defining the scan, have you specified the tables by choosing the appropriate items in the list.

In case if you specified the table, could you please try to create and running a new scan and check if you able to see the assets.

I have tried selecting all the tables, a group and a single table.
In all cases it is the same problem, it does not find assets

It was already solved by reinstalling the latest version of SHIR

This is expected behavior, we show a banner at the top of your scan run history notifying you of this behavior. You should be seeing the assets in the catalog despite counts being 0/0.

In order to investigate further, could you please share the SHIR logs?

In the integration runtime configuration manager, please click on diagnostics icon and then click on ‘Send logs’.

You will be able to see report id, please share that with us to enable viewing logs.

send logs in the Integration runtime by following steps below:

Step1: Navigate to SHIR.

Step2: Goto Diagnostics tab and click on send logs.

Step3: You will be able to see report id, please share that with us to enable viewing logs.

A few additional details are needed like what is the target that you are trying to scan (like mssql://SCANTARGETSECRET@arba-331m.domainba.com/bi/DATAWAREHOUSE/RH), is there a specific scan run that you are looking at? If possible, is there a sample of data they would expect to see so we can take a more pointed look.

what is the target that you are trying to scan: I have tried scanning all tables, single and multiple. The result is always the same: 0 assets, it is very frustrating.
is there a specific scan run that you are looking at?: Either run should have returned some result.
is there a sample of data they would expect to see so we can take a more pointed look: I do not understand what it would be useful to pass data, which also cannot be done. The database has many tables, and they all have data, what difference could there be with another on-premises database?

I am accessing from local VPN, which is paired with the VNET created in Azure.
Do I have to create a VM within Azure VNET for it to work?
