Hard Disk not initialized - formatting impossible

I ran into a problem with my Hard Disk drive. It is not showing up on my PC. And in the disk management, it says "Uninitialized". Attempts to initialize the disk have yielded "Data error: Cyclic redundancy check". I have tried scan disk and checkdisk. The format option is not working. I have also taken it to the dealer but they also ran into the Data error problem and said that they were unable to help. So, if there's any other methods to return the disk to normal function (including formatting) I would like to know.

    Hi, Umang,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue.

Most hard drive manufacturers have a tool to check the health of the hard drive and format the disk when you are not able to do it on Windows, go to your hard drive manufacturer's website and check if this tool is available.

If you cannot find the tool on your hard drive manufacturer's website, you can use the SeaTools it includes several tests that will examine the physical media on your Seagate, Maxtor or Samsung disk drive and any non-Seagate disk drive.

You can see more information and download the SeaTools at these links.
