Windows not activated?

I got this typical HP laptop a couple of years ago now as a hand-me-down from my mum for school. This laptop was issued to her as a teacher, however about a year ago now I noticed a message appear in the bottom right of the screen telling me I need to activate windows.

Specifically, the message I found in settings when I tried to activate Windows says "we can't activate Windows as we can't connect to your organization's activation server. make sure you're connected to your organization's network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization's support person. Error code: 0x8007232B."

I have no idea what the organization is supposed to be, and neither does my mum. Up till recently, this has never caused too much of an issue, but now I think it's the reason why I've been having issues with audio equipment, as an old headset's microphone suddenly doesn't work, and a new pair of headphones can't even pick up (and yes they do work on my other devices). I also used to be able to connect my AirPods to this laptop but now they won't even show up in the Bluetooth menu.

I do have a product ID, and the last 5 digits of a product key, but that's all I have to go on. I have no idea how to fix this problem or what even caused it. It's a Windows 10 Enterprise

From the looks of it, yes. Since the Enterprise version of Windows is activated using the organization account of the school.

There are no accounts listed under that, I think my mum got rid of all her stuff when she gave me the computer. Should I just convert to Pro?

Hi, I’m Nicole, I’ll be happy to help you out today.

Since the laptop is issued to your mom by the school, there must be a school or work account logged in on the device.

Check it on Windows setting>Accounts>Access work or school.

If you can see a work or school account logged in on Access work or school, disconnect the account only if your mom won't use the laptop again for her job.

You may also need to check family and other users if there are connected accounts there.

You may also need to convert from Windows 10 Enterprise to Pro if the issue will persist. You can check this thread for that.
