PC crashes without a bluescreen.

Basically, sometimes (mostly while watching YouTube however, not when playing games) my PC freezes for a second and restarts. Seems like a crash, but in the event viewer there are no entries to be found around the time of the crash. I've tried replacing my PSU, checking memory with memtest86 and testing my GPU and CPU using benchmarks. No problems found in the tests, but yet the crashes still happen and very often. I'm not sure what to do anymore... How do I solve this without just buying a new PC?

Also, I forgot to mention this in the original problem, but my PC struggles to start. In the bit where it’s the bios with the spinning indicator, about 80% of the time it freezes and I have to force restart the PC by using the switch on the back.

Tried all that except the BIOS drivers. My CPU has integrated graphics, I might try that and see if the problem goes away. Also, my GPU is in a pretty badly ventilated spot in my PC so it could be overheating?

Thanks for the help, I’ll update you on how the run with integrated graphics goes.

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for sharing the Event Viewer log.

The Event Viewer Logs indicate Bug Check 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE. This bug check indicates graphics card failure.

To narrow down the cause of the issue, kindly try the following steps:

1-Uninstall the graphics card driver completely using the DDU free tool:

    https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-dr...

Then, install the latest driver provided on the manufacturer's website.

2-Uninstall any third-party security software and scan for viruses & malware with the free Malwarebytes:

    https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download

3-Download then install the latest version of BIOS & Chipset drivers from the manufacturer's website.

4-Hardware issues that affect the ability of the video card to operate properly, including:

*Over-clocked components, such as the motherboard:

If you are overclocking your PC, try running everything (CPU, GPU, system memory) at their stock speeds. See if the issue is still reproducible. Or, turn off XMP profile or set it to Auto.

    *Insufficient system cooling

    *Insufficient system power

*Defective parts (memory modules, motherboards, etc.)

Test the RAM with the free utility MemTest86, then run a full 8 pass scan to test your RAM for physical errors:

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/14201-memte...

*Visual effects, or too many programs running in the background may be slowing your PC down, so the video card can't respond as necessary.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you need further assistance.

    Stay safe.

    Hi Thomas,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

Kindly check C:\Windows\Minidump and copy available minidump files to the desktop then share them via One Drive or Google Drive in order to be analyzed and indicate which file is causing the crash.
