Windows 10 keyboard not working but other keyboards work and non working keyboard works on other computers

Question

just like the title says, keyboard is not working. I can plug in my old keyboard and it works fine... But the new keyboard stopped working. The new keyboard that stopped working also works with other computers that are running windows. Ive tried all the stupid fixes with device manager but they never work. did the power options "fix" and it didnt work. Reformatted my pc and it didnt work. This whole problem stemmed form trying to get my DVB-T+DAB+FM+SDR usb dongle working. I used Zadig and then something happened. I have literally tried everything and dont understand how it doesnt work after a reformat and reset settings. Makes 0 sense and nothing has changed it and all the "help" articles and discussions all talk about the same things over and over that dont work. There has got to be a reason why I can type this rn on my old keyboard but my new one wont work. And no changing the ports doesnt work................ I even installed the keyboards software and it doesnt detect the keyboard. The keyboard not detecting is a Phantom L keyboard. Only thing I can think of is settings in the bios but there is no possible way that changed. Atleast to my knowledge. Only thing I can remember about settings I switched is I did some cmd command to get the dongle working and I was trying to fix a "device descriptor request failed" thinking it was my dongle and maybe it was idk. But im guessing that was my keyboard? Any help would be appreciated as I am feeling ghetto ising this extra keyboard thats resting on the top of the pc. keyboard works in bios but doesnt work in windows. Hi,

This is Tamal trying to help you with the really weird situation! I am not sure if it can help, try adding a small USB extender only a few inches to 1 or 2 Ft long. The shorter the better.

Feels like there is miscommunication between the Jacks. As you have tried most of the stupid fixes try my stupid ideas as well.

If you have some USB hub (even better if it is a Powered hub with external power added) ready may try that also on the non-accepting PC with the keyboard. If that does not help straight contact the keyboard manufacturer for warranty assistance/replacement.

I just connected it to my usb 2.0 hub and it didnt work. I went in the bios and it didnt work. Only other keyboards work on this pc. I tried sfc /scannow and it didnt work. I tried check disc and check disc health commands all get stuck at 5%. I tried using software it shows that software is up to date. idk what im going to do since it seems that windows does not reset all settings on reformat. Is it because I used the in windows cloud reformat? Do I need to get it off a usb to get cleaner settings wipe? I just dont understand how the keyboard isnt working after all of this but the keyboard works. tried usb hub didnt work tried unplugging all devices restarting and it didnt work. Tried changing the port its plugged into it didnt work. Keyboard lights up when plugged in and only works in bios.

They are same if you did a cloud reset or USB one. Issue is somewhere else.

Try BIOS update if there is any update available from the motherboard/PC manufacturer
