cannot find integrated camera

windows cannot find my camera on my Dell laptop windows 10. There doesn't seem to be a conflict anywhere (that I can see) via anti virus software. I think my "updates" caused a problem somewhere along the line. Seems like everytime I update my computer, I have a faulty issue.

I've re-installed windows 10 twice and the camera still doesn't show up anywhere. When I click on the camera app it says "We cannot find your camera" Error Code: 0xA00F4244 <No cameras are attached>.

Dell is telling me that I need a new motherboard, which was replaced in May of 2022.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out. My name is, Zadee. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

Try to see if you can install a legacy driver of that camera.

    -Open device manager

-Make sure to at least have one category highlighted in the list, otherwise this "Add legacy hardware" won't appear

    -Click "Actions"

-Click "Add legacy hardware" > Next

-Select "Install the hardware that I manually .... " > Next

-Look for "Camera" in the list, click to highlight > Next

-Select the correct "Manufacturer" and the "Model" of your Camera driver

    -Click Next > Finish

Also check your device manufacturer's website if they have a camera driver that you can download and install.

    Best Regards,
