Hello,

I've using Windows 11 Home in my laptop. But about a month ago, it Bitlocked OMG.

I've never do any encryption method that generates key etc.

Also in my personal and school acc, there is no key.

In CMD, "manage-bde- -protectors -disable C:" not working, showed "ERROR: The operation cannot be performed because the volume is locked"

And yet any disabling manade-bde command not working.

In laptop, there is new disk F: generated and only Recovery.txt file, "date modified'' changed everyday, but this txt file is empty.

In this laptop, I've saved very very important files, so I cant simply reinstall clean windows, Only need Bitlocker Recovery Key.

    Hi Gerelee,

    Sorry, I was offline.

This problem is very common with Dell systems, Dell's installation images has some bug in it that causes Bitlocker to be automatically enabled, even in the Home edition of Windows, and I am truly sorry to say, there is no way to access a drive which is encrypted without the recovery key.

    Hi Gerelee,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Some people have reported this same problem with Bitlocker, which does not actually exist in Windows 11 Home, and I am sorry, the news is not good, this is usually caused by the PC manufacturer setting, what is the Make (Dell, Lenovo...etc) of your laptop?

Do you have a backup of your files, or use OneDrive or some other cloud service to sync your files?
