windows live mail 'a problem occurred while trying to open this message a problem occurred please try again' how do i fix this?

The problem started after Windows downloaded the latest update Version 22H2 (KB4023057).

-Microsoft online help instructed to change 3 lines in the registry to a (1) value, did not resolve the issue.

-Microsoft remote help re-installed Windows, - did not resolve.

Hello Roy Fisher,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I believe that you know that this software is no longer supported. I notice that Microsoft support has tried to provide you with some solutions, even reinstalling Windows, but your problem is still unresolved. I think this is because the software is no longer compatible with Windows 11.

We're probably running out of other solutions for you, and while this is frustrating news, it might be time to try some new software with similar features. I suggest you use the Mail app that comes with Windows, or trythe web version of Outlook email.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Mitchell - | Microsoft community support expert from MSFT

I have been using Live Mail, which I have always preferred over Outlook, with Windows 11. It will not work with the latest 22H2 update (will not allow emails to be sent), so I did a GoBack to the previous version. All is well now. The calendar in Live Mail will not allow input, that is fine with me. I use the calendar that came with Windows 11 for that. You can download Live Mail from sources on the web.

    Hi Mitchell,

That's too bad it is no longer supported. I wasn't aware that was the case.

I do run Mail as well but preferred using Live mail.

    Thank you for your response.

    Roy
