I have a rtx 2070 and a 120hz monitor, all my games seem to be caped at 60 - 70 fps. It has run games over 120fps with no problems before. I recently changed a power supply and cpu cooler because of shutdown issues (those are fixed now) any suggestions.

    Welcome Dats.

Some motherboard manufacturers (known to be msi from forum) have released BIOS/Firmware updates to suit 22H2. Check from their website or from windows update>optional updates if your motherboard has any BIOS/Firmware update.

If there is possibility to undo latest version installation of 19045 may try that through either recovery environment or system restore. As the PC was sitting idle for 2 months it may still be possible to go back to older version.

If going back to 21H2 not possible & you have spare drive (SSD's) & older version of windows 10 ISO, like 19043/19044, may install that build on the spare drive, install full set of drivers & install any of the game causing issues now. If the issue started after installation of 19045 that will have an explanation.

    Thanks for the reply,

I did not think those two components had anything to do with the issue just wanted to mention because of experience dealing with other electronics and the PC had not been running for over 2 months because of the power issues.

I have uninstalled any software that I thought was not necessary to operate the system or run games.

I’ve checked settings in Nvidia control panel and experience. I’ve turned off Vsync, swapped DP cables, tryied full screen and window mode, changed Window10 graphic/performance in the settings menu.

    Hi Dats,

This is Tamal trying to answer your question.

If you have only changed that two hardware components & have not tweaked with anything else, then that should not happen. Please check if 8PIN+8PIN+8/12 PIN power connector to the GPU & CPU is connected properly.

If your AIO cooler came with some USB controller & software, please try with using them or uninstalling them.
