Reset my ASUS laptop and when trying to sign back in, it hasn't let me back in. It says user profile cannot be loaded, and there is no option for me to sign into a different account to "repair any files", or whatever I need to do. I'm lost. How do I fix this?

If there was a problem you thought a reset would cure then perhaps you need to see Asus support as to how to run boot diagnostics

    Hello SpiritedGhast

    My name is Fred.

This could happen because Windows uses internal files to reinstall Windows, but a corrupted file could break the installation.

Try to sign in to safe mode with your Microsoft account network and password, after this try to repair Windows.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sta...

To repair follow the steps below:

In the search engine tab, type cmd, right-click, and run as administrator

In this window, you type each command one at a time and at the end of the process you continue with the following:

    • sfc /scannow

    • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    • Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    • DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    • Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /startComponentCleanup

Then restart the computer and verify

Or try switching to a local account, and after you can sign in, switch back to a Microsoft account.

Let us know if you need more help.

    Best Regards,

    Fred
