Audio issues with new headset

Hello, so I recently got a new pair of headphones and I am having some audio issues when I open certain applications.

I did some testing by using the troubleshooter and seeing if my drivers are updated or not but they have not worked.

It also seems that whenever I open an application that uses my microphone like Zoom, Discord, or even a game like Valorant, this happens. This is really strange, and I hope I can get a solution to this!

My headphone model is Sony WH-XB910N

    The issue still doesn't seem to be resolved yet. I have tested all the noise suppression options on Zoom, and it does not seem to work. I would also like to add that the audio in Zoom is perfectly fine whenever the issue occurs, the problem is that other audio sources like chrome have poor sound quality

    Thank you for the additional information Kenny.

    The apps you mentioned, they have in-app audio settings, particularly the noise suppression feature. I will suggest that you try some different options in those settings to see if one might work better than the other.

    Some apps are also known to not work well with bluetooth headset. Microsoft Teams is definitely one of those. Does your headset have a wire-in option? Try to see if it makes any difference when you use wire-in option instead of bluetooth.

    I hope this helps provide a few direction to isolate the issue.

    Yes sorry, I realize I didn't say what issue I was having was.

    So the issue I am facing right now is that the quality seems to be extremely poor compared to normal whenever I open an application that uses my microphone (Zoom, Discord, Valorant, etc). It works really well on other applications such as spotify and youtube. Unfortunately, I do not have another device to test the headset on, my iPhone can't detect my headphones through Bluetooth for some reason.

    From your post, I can't quite tell what exactly is this audio issue you referred to? do you mind providing me details about the issue?

    Also, have you tried the headset on a different device and see if the issue stays?
