Upgrading a VM Windows instance in Hyper-V

I am running Win 11, and have a Win 10 VM in Hyper-V that I am trying to upgrade to the most recent Win 10 version.
Windows Update has run once happily and installed a bunch of updates, but now has found 2023-01 Cumulative Win 10 Update KB502282, has downloaded it and is repeatedly trying to install it but keeps gets stuck at around 20%.
Any ideas?
