Seems everyone has gone away. Where are the instructions?
Changing Language Settings Deep Inside Windows 10
Hi,
Something that is an annoyance rather than a major issue but I would like to fix it.
Backstory: I bought a new Asus Zenbook and after a month or so, it developed issues. It was returned to the Asus serice centre where they fixed the issue by re-installing W10 I assume from an ISO image.
The good news.... Issues totally fixed.
The not so good news... I am English but am in Greece so the machine was fixed at the Greece service centre and they installed Windows in Greek.
Almost everything is in English except some deep stuff that I can't seem to change. Like when it is shutting down or booting up it tells me it is doing it in Greek. Some error messages are in Greek. Audio devices are named in Greek. I would like to change this...
Now I have changed the language absolutely everywhere I can find to do it. Even ran a clean up through command prompt to see if it would force the stubborn bits of Greek to go away.
There must be some deep settings somewhere but I aint finding them.
Any clues?

As long as you choose Nothing when prompted, which removes files, and applications, you would be able to resolve this problem. This holds good for Windows 10 ISO too.

2022-06-20T14:16:28+00:00 I was kind of hoping that it would not be necessary. Don't know whether I can face starting from scratch again.

I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.
This is expected - a language pack cannot change the language everywhere. Certain components, as you said “deep inside” would remain in the base ISO language. A clean install using Correct language ISO is the only way to resolve this.
Do you want instructions for doing a clean install? It may seem difficult, but it isn’t that to be honest. You can do it on your own.
Keep us posted.
