Problem with audio on win 11

The sound suddenly went away, and the icon management appeared to play up as well.

I am using NVIDIA 27B2 high definition audio.

The audio troubleshooter was not able to solve the problem.

I ran the SFC and DISM options, - no problems were detected.

Should I look for an old audio driver?

This is a ASUS gaming notebook with Ryzen 7 amd.

Is there another audio system I can use to cross-check it?

The menu says there is one called "Speakers", but it does not show up on devices.

the driver is dated 5/6/2021, version 10.0.22000.1 This looks like the original one.

I tried searching for one on C:\ DRIVERS, but it didn't give me a list, just said the existing one was best.

could the NVIDIA hardware be acting up?

Solution:

Change the device to Speakers:Realtek.

It didn't initially come up as an option, but appeared during the troubleshoot process.

This is the one that ouputs to the audio plug.

It now works fine.

You install drivers from that laptop maker, and no where else
