Hi MTDF
If the test page prints out blurred, then the problem is not in Windows, because that function is built into the printer, do you have another device you can connect the printer up to, to test if the printing is still blurred on that device.

Windows updated the printer driver on my laptop on 8th June 2022. Since then all printing jobs on my HP printer have come out blurred with some lines in italics. All diagnostic tests have been tried out on the printer with no result. HP have told me that it is a problem with Windows. How can I resolve this?

Yes I'm afraid so!
Hi MTDF
Open the old Control panel, then go to Devices and Printers.
Right click your printer and choose Printer Properties and select the option to print a test page.
Is that printout also blurred?
Thanks for replying so soon. I should have mentioned that I have in fact already done this, guided by a HP technician over the phone but unfortunately it didn't resolve the problem.
Hi MTDF
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
If the driver that Windows update installed caused this problem, it is best to completely uninstall your printer and drivers, then go to the support page for your printer on the HP website, then from there, download and install the version of Printer drivers they recommend and also any associated software for your printer.
